Road

Queensland firefighters attended over 8000 road rescue crashes each year.

QFRS responds to motor vehicle crashes and uses a range of rescue tools to free trapped people. We also provide assistance to ambulance officers to treat patients at the scene, and restore the accident scene so that it is safe again.

QFRS also delivers road safety education to novice and young drivers. This program is called the Roads, Attitudes and Action Planning (RAAP) program.
