Adam Stevenson is the Chief Operating Officer of our Strategy and Corporate Services Division. The Strategy and Corporate Services Division is responsible for leading the integrated framework and vision and driving performance and strategic capability across the organisation. The Division works very closely with the services to ensure the planning, policy and capability of its people, services and equipment are at their optimum in readiness for service delivery to the communities of Queensland.
Adam has extensive experience in developing strategic and reform strategies for organisations and this allows him to focus on governance, performance, transformation, investment and risk as well as high level engagement with key stakeholders. Adam commenced with us in early 2017 as the Executive Director responsible for Executive, Ministerial and Corporate Services.
Formerly, as General Manager, Queensland Operations for Trade and investment Queensland, his responsibilities included servicing the requirements of international and interstate investors, Queensland's regions and exporters in priority industry sectors.
After beginning his career in the private finance sector, Adam held a series of government senior executive leadership positions over the past 16 years including employment service delivery, ICT strategy, indigenous economic participation, corporate services, strategic policy and planning, industrial relations and training, industry development, and workplace health and safety.
Adam has a Bachelor of Economics and Executive Masters in Public Administration. Whilst studying, he won a university award for studies in international trade.
