An Emergency Alert (Emergency Warning) has been issued for Burdekin by the Burdekin Disaster Management Group. 

The Burdekin Region will be affected by Severe Tropical Cyclone Kirrily (Category 3), destructive winds are likely from 6.30pm. Residents are advised to warn others, stay off roads and take shelter now.
