Emergency Alert for Cooby Creek (near Toowoomba) as at 12.15pm Thurs 12 May

An Emergency Alert has been issued for Cooby Creek by Toowoomba Regional Council. 

Council advises Cooby Dam is spilling, which may lead to the flooding of areas in the vicinity of Cooby Creek. Residents are asked to warn neighbours, secure property and prepare to move to higher ground if the situation worsens. For more information listen to local radio or visit https://disaster.tr.qld.gov.au/.

For flood assistance, contact the SES on 132 500. In a life-threatening emergency, dial Triple-Zero (000). If it’s flooded, forget it.
