An Emergency Alert (Watch and Act) has been issued for Laidley from the Lockyer Valley Regional Council.

Council advises flooding may occur in the Laidley town area and water levels may rise rapidly. Residents in low lying areas are encouraged to enact their emergency plan. 

The Laidley State High School evacuation centre will open for those seeking safe shelter.
