An Emergency Alert (Emergency Warning) has been issued for Magnetic Island by Townsville Disaster Management Group.

Residents need to have sufficient boiled drinking water for at least three days. It is possible power supply will be affected by TC Kirrily, which is due to cross the coast later today, Thursday 25 January. 

If power is lost, it may not be possible to boil water during this time. For further updates listen to local radio or visit www.disaster.townsville.qld.gov.au
