Emergency Alert for Maryborough as at 7.05pm Fri 25 Feb

An Emergency Alert has been issued from the Fraser Coast Disaster Group. The Mary River at Maryborough is expected to exceed the minor flood level of five metres late Friday and is now likely to reach and exceed the major flood level of nine metres Sunday morning. This is similar to the January 2022 flood. The Granville Bridge will be closed at 3am Saturday morning and the Lamington Bridge at Tinana is currently closed. An evacuation centre will be established at the Maryborough Senior Citizens Hall at 8am Saturday morning on Alice Street, Maryborough.
