An Emergency Alert (Emergency Warning) has been issued for Palm Island by the Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council. 

Palm Island is likely to be affected by Tropical Cyclone Kirrily, very destructive winds are likely from 6pm today. Residents are advised to seek shelter in their homes, warn neighbours, secure their property and belongings, and make sure they have a disaster response kit prepared.
