Queensland Fire and Rescue crews are currently on scene at a rubbish fire on Old Gympie Rd, Dakabin. Crews have contained the fire to a pile of metal and are working to extinguish it. 

Smoke is affecting the surrounding area and will continue to do so for several hours. 

Residents should close windows and doors and keep respiratory medications close by if required. Motorists should drive with caution and to the conditions.
