EMERALD – Oil spill as at 11am Tues 26 April 2022

Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) firefighters are currently on scene at an oil spill at the intersection of Capricorn Highway and Gregory Highway, Emerald. Crews are working to contain and clean up the spill, which is evident on the highway south of the trainline, and on the westbound lanes of the Capricorn Highway. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions, and avoid the area if possible.
