Emergency Alert for areas of Lockyer Creek as at 5.45pm Fri 25 Feb

An Emergency Alert has been issued from the Somerset Local Disaster Management Group. Areas of Lockyer Creek within the Somerset Regional Council area are at risk over the next several hours. If you were impacted by flooding in 2011 or 2013, or are in a low lying area near the Lockyer Creek, you should move to higher ground and seek shelter. Warn you neighbours and head to higher ground now. For flood assistance, contact the SES on 132 500. In a life-threatening emergency, dial Triple Zero (000). For further information listen to local radio or visit: http://disaster.somerset.qld.gov.au/. If it’s flooded, forget it.
