Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) crews remain on scene at a large structure fire on Kingston Rd, Kingston. The fire is now under control. Kingston – structure fire as at 11:15pm Thurs 27 June

Multiple Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) crews are on scene at a large structure fire on Kingston Rd, Kingston. 

An 80m x 20m steel building was well involved in fire when crews arrived on scene at 10:15pm. 

Firefighters are working to contain the blaze and protect exposures.

The fire is producing large amounts of smoke, which is expected to impact the surrounding area over the next several hours.

Residents should close windows and doors and keep respiratory medications close by if required. 

Motorists should drive with caution and to the conditions.
