Mackay – chemical spill as at 8.05am Fri 25 Mar

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are currently on scene at a chemical spill at Milton St, Mackay. Crews are currently working to contain the spill. An exclusion zone is in place and Milton Street, between Canelands Road and the Mackay Showgrounds, is closed in both directions. Residents and motorists should avoid the area and are asked to close windows, doors and keep respiratory medications close by, if required.
