Mackay Harbour – silo fire as at 7.30pm Mon 13 Jan

Queensland Fire and Rescue (QFR) crews are on scene at a silo fire on George Bell Drive, Mackay Harbour. 

Firefighters are working to contain the fire which is producing a large amount of smoke. Smoke is expected to affect surrounding areas overnight. 

Residents should close windows and doors and keep respiratory medications close by if required. 

Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions.
