Moranbah (central Queensland) – dump fire as at 10.40pm Wed 22 May

Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) crews are currently on scene at a dump fire on Thorpe Street, Moranbah. 

Crews have been on scene for several hours and have the blaze under control, however it is creating a large amount of smoke in the area. 

Residents should close windows and doors and keep respiratory medications close by, if required. 

Motorists should drive with caution and to the conditions.
