New Chum - truck fire as at 7.15am Wed 15 Nov

Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) crews are on scene at a truck fire on the Cunningham Highway, New Chum.

The fire is contained to the truck, however it must travel along the Cunningham Highway to a safe location so crews can access its contents and extinguish the fire.

The vehicle will be escorted along the highway by FRS crews and Queensland Police.

Residents should close windows and doors and keep respiratory medications close by, if required. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions.
