Queensland Fire and Rescue (QFR) and Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ) crews are on scene at a hay shed fire burning near Texas Yelarbon Rd, Smithlea. 

Firefighters are working to extinguish the fire, but smoke is expected to impact the surrounding areas, particularly the nearby town of Beebo, for at least the next several hours.

Nearby residents should close windows and doors, and keep respiratory medications close by if required. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions.
