Stapylton – Landfill fire as at 5pm Mon 19 Dec

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are currently on scene at a landfill fire on Rossmanns Rd, Stapylton.

Crews have been working to extinguish the fire. There is a significant amount of smoke travelling towards Beenleigh which may affect nearby houses and businesses.

Residents should avoid the area if possible, close windows and doors and keep respiratory medications close by if required. Motorists should drive with caution.
