Torrington (near Toowoomba) – rubbish fire as at 3.55pm Fri 2 August

Queensland Fire and Rescue (QFR) crews are on scene at a rubbish fire at an industrial site on Boundary Street, Torrington.

Multiple crews are working to bring the fire under control. All occupants have been evacuated.

A large amount of smoke is impacting surrounding suburbs and is expected to do so over the coming hours. 

Those affected should keep their windows and doors closed and if required, keep respiratory medications close by.

Motorists should drive with caution and to the conditions.
