Umagico (far north Queensland) – rubbish fire as at 7.15pm Fri 16 August

Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ) crews are on scene at a rubbish fire at an industrial site on Injinoo Road, Umagico.
 

Crews are working to bring the fire under control.

A large amount of smoke is impacting the area and is expected to do so over the coming hours. 

Those affected should keep their windows and doors closed and if required, keep respiratory medications close by.
