StormSafe is designed for teachers working with students in years 5, 6 and 7 in Queensland schools.

The aim of the program is to assist students to develop an understanding of the dangers of stormwater, floodwater and stormwater drainage systems, and to promote an awareness of safe practices when in and around flood and stormwater.

The program engages students in interactive and collaborative learning experiences to promote their understanding of flood and storm related weather patterns, where and when floods and storms occur, what hazards are presented by storm and flood water and what actions should be taken in and around storm and flood water.
